Add Elements and Their Attributes in the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box

 


To add elements and their attributes in the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box, follow these steps:

  1. Open the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box by double-clicking the In Bus Element block in the block diagram.
  2. In the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box, click the Add Element button.
  3. In the Add Element Dialog Box, enter the name of the new element.
  4. Select the data type of the new element from the Data Type drop-down list.
  5. Click the OK button to add the new element to the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box.

To specify the attributes of an element, select the element in the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box and then enter the desired values in the Attribute fields.

Here are some of the attributes that you can specify for an element:

  • Name: The name of the element.
  • Data Type: The data type of the element.
  • Units: The units of the element.
  • Range: The range of the element.
  • Initial Value: The initial value of the element.

Once you have specified the attributes of an element, click the OK button to close the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box.

Here is an example of how to add elements and their attributes in the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box:

  1. Add an In Bus Element block to the block diagram.

  2. Open the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box by double-clicking the In Bus Element block.

  3. In the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box, click the Add Element button.

  4. In the Add Element Dialog Box, enter the name of the new element as "Temperature".

  5. Select the data type of the new element as "double" from the Data Type drop-down list.

  6. Click the OK button to add the new element to the In Bus Element Block Dialog Box.

The In Bus Element block will now have two elements: "Temperature" and "Velocity". The "Temperature" element will have the data type "double" and the units "degrees Celsius". The "Velocity" element will have the data type "double" and the units "meters per second". The initial value of the "Temperature" element will be 20 degrees Celsius.

Use the dialog box of an In Bus Element block to specify additional elements of the bus and its attributes without adding blocks or defining objects for each element.
